Terms of Use
Last updated: June 1, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of HomeEscapeAI, including our website, mobile application, AI planning tools, generated content, token purchases, and related services (together, the "Service").
The Service is operated by HomeEscapeAI ("HomeEscapeAI", "we", "our", or "us").
By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, purchasing tokens, or generating an escape-room plan, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Description of the Service
HomeEscapeAI is an AI-powered planning tool that helps users create home-based escape-room experiences. The Service may generate storylines, riddles, clues, hints, solutions, props lists, printable assets, setup instructions, safety notes, and game-master guidance based on information provided by the user.
The Service provides planning assistance and entertainment content only. It does not physically inspect your home, objects, players, or setup.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, purchase tokens, or use the Service independently. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
If an escape-room experience involves minors, a responsible adult must supervise the activity at all times.
3. User responsibility and safety
You are fully responsible for reviewing, preparing, setting up, supervising, and running any escape-room experience created with the Service.
You agree that you will:
Review all generated content before using it.
Make sure every activity is safe, legal, age-appropriate, and suitable for the participants.
Supervise children and vulnerable participants at all times.
Avoid locked rooms, blocked exits, fire, sharp objects, hazardous materials, dangerous physical challenges, unsafe hiding places, electrical risks, choking hazards, food-allergy risks, or anything that may cause injury or property damage.
Follow all applicable laws, building rules, venue rules, and safety instructions.
Stop or modify any activity that seems unsafe, unclear, unsuitable, or uncomfortable.
Use of the Service and any generated content is at your own risk.
4. AI-generated content disclaimer
Some or all content generated by the Service is created with AI models. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive, unsuitable, unsafe, or inconsistent with your real environment.
We do not guarantee that generated content will be correct, safe, solvable, suitable, age-appropriate, or free of errors. You must independently review and validate all content before use.
5. Accounts and security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
We may suspend or restrict access if we believe your account is being misused, used unlawfully, or used in a way that may harm the Service or other users.
6. User content
You may provide text, descriptions, room information, available props, participant preferences, themes, images, messages, and other content ("User Content").
You confirm that you have the right to provide your User Content and that it does not violate any law, third-party right, privacy right, or these Terms.
You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, display, and use your User Content as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
You should not provide unnecessary sensitive information or information that you do not have permission to share.
7. Generated content and permitted use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you may use the escape-room plans and generated content created for you for personal, private, and non-commercial use.
You may not resell, redistribute, publish as a competing product, or use generated content to operate a commercial escape-room business unless we give you written permission or provide a specific commercial license.
We may reuse general ideas, formats, safety patterns, UI elements, system logic, and non-personal learnings to improve the Service.
8. Tokens, paid features, and purchases
The Service may use tokens, credits, subscriptions, or paid plans to access certain features or generate escape-room plans.
Tokens and digital access are not money, do not have cash value, are not transferable, and may only be used inside the Service.
Prices, token amounts, available plans, and features may change from time to time. Taxes may be added according to applicable law.
Web purchases may be processed by Paddle or another payment provider. Purchases made in the iOS app may be processed by Apple In-App Purchase. The applicable payment provider or app store may apply its own terms, refund rules, tax rules, and payment processing policies.
9. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy and, where applicable, by the rules of the relevant payment provider, merchant of record, app store, and applicable consumer law.
Because the Service provides digital content and AI-generated outputs that may be delivered immediately, all purchases are generally final once tokens are used, content is generated, or access begins, except where required by law or where our Refund Policy expressly allows a refund.
10. Prohibited uses
You agree not to use the Service to:
Create dangerous, harmful, illegal, abusive, hateful, harassing, exploitative, or discriminatory content.
Create instructions for violence, weapons, self-harm, drugs, illegal activity, or unsafe challenges.
Harm, threaten, exploit, or endanger children or other people.
Upload content that violates another person’s rights or privacy.
Reverse engineer, scrape, copy, overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service.
Circumvent payment systems, token limits, security controls, or usage restrictions.
Resell or commercially exploit the Service without permission.
11. Third-party services
The Service may integrate with third-party services such as hosting providers, database providers, AI providers, payment processors, app stores, analytics tools, notification services, and authentication providers.
We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, their policies, or their actions.
12. Availability and changes
We may update, modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time. We may also change features, prices, token packs, usage limits, AI models, or supported platforms.
We will try to avoid unnecessary disruption, but we do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
13. Intellectual property
The Service, software, designs, branding, logos, workflows, prompts, systems, and related materials are owned by HomeEscapeAI or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, we reserve all rights in the Service.

15. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and all generated content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
We do not warrant that the Service or generated content will be safe, accurate, complete, suitable, available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomeEscapeAI and its operators, owners, employees, contractors, suppliers, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, property, or personal injury arising from or related to use of the Service or generated content.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
17. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HomeEscapeAI from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, your generated escape-room setup, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

Refund Policy
Refund Policy
Last updated: June 1, 2026
This Refund Policy explains when purchases made through HomeEscapeAI may be refunded. It applies to token packs, digital access, subscriptions, and other paid digital features offered by HomeEscapeAI (the "Service").
This policy should be read together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
1. General rule: digital purchases are final
HomeEscapeAI provides digital content and AI-generated outputs that may be delivered immediately after purchase or token use. For this reason, purchases are generally final and non-refundable once tokens are used, content is generated, digital access begins, or the purchased service is delivered.
This does not affect any refund rights you may have under applicable law.
2. When we may approve a refund
We may approve a refund, credit, or token restoration in the following cases:
You were charged twice for the same purchase due to a technical or payment error.
A payment was completed but the purchased tokens or access were not delivered to your account.
A technical failure on our side prevented generation or access, and we cannot reasonably restore the tokens or provide the purchased service.
An unauthorized or fraudulent transaction is confirmed after review.
A refund is required by applicable consumer law or by the rules of the relevant payment provider or app store.
3. When refunds are usually not available
Refunds are usually not provided for:
Tokens that were already used to generate content.
AI-generated results that you do not like, where the generation was successfully delivered.
Change of mind after purchase.
Incorrect information entered by the user.
User failure to review, use, or save generated content.
Account issues caused by violation of our Terms of Use.
Partial use of token packs or digital access, unless required by law.
4. Token restoration instead of refund
If a technical issue occurs, we may choose to restore tokens, provide replacement generation, or issue account credit instead of a monetary refund, where allowed by law and platform rules.
5. Web purchases processed by Paddle
For web purchases, Paddle or another payment provider may act as the merchant of record. Refund requests may be processed by Paddle according to Paddle’s buyer terms, refund policy, tax rules, and legal obligations.
If Paddle or the applicable payment provider is required by law to approve a refund, their decision may apply even if this Refund Policy would otherwise not provide a refund.
6. Apple App Store purchases
If you purchased through Apple In-App Purchase, refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple’s own policies. We cannot directly issue a refund for Apple App Store purchases. You may need to request a refund through Apple.
If Apple approves a refund, we may revoke the related tokens, subscription access, or generated-service entitlement.
7. Subscriptions, if offered
If subscriptions are offered, cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund previous charges. Subscription refunds are handled according to the payment provider, app store, applicable law, and this policy.
8. How to request a refund
To request a refund or token restoration, contact us at support@homeescapeai.com and include:
Your account email.
Transaction ID, receipt, or invoice number.
Purchase date.
Description of the issue.
Screenshots or error messages, if available.
Refund requests should be submitted as soon as possible after the issue occurs. We may reject requests that are incomplete, abusive, fraudulent, or submitted too late, unless a refund is required by law.
9. Processing time
If a refund is approved, processing times depend on the payment provider, bank, card issuer, or app store. We do not control external processing times.
10. Abuse prevention
We may refuse refunds, limit accounts, or suspend access if we detect refund abuse, fraud, chargeback abuse, token misuse, or violation of our Terms of Use.
11. Changes to this Refund Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on our website or inside the app with a new "Last updated" date.
12. Contact
